A day of cooking at Lucas & Chez's house

Newrybar
A little video from the day

A day of cooking at Lucas & Chez's house! ❤️ We had the pleasure of cooking at Lucas and Chez's beautiful barn house in Newrybar 🏡✨

They reached out to us with the idea of finding a way to spend a little less money eating out, so they could put more towards the things they love — like travelling — while still having nourishing, homemade, heart-fuelled food waiting for them when they come home after a long day at work.

Also worth mentioning, they are behind The Awakening Project — a beautiful project focused on conscious living and connection. Go check them out! 🌱

What we love about this service is that it's never only about the food. Throughout the day we ended up bonding, chatting about purpose, conscious value exchange, food and life, walking through their beautiful veggie garden, picking fresh herbs and citrus from their own trees, and even talking about possibly putting together a dinner together soon 😂✨

For this cook-up, Lucas and Chez decided to organise their own groceries, choosing produce from Bangalow Market, their favourite local meat providers, and complementing everything with ingredients from their own garden.

They chose some classics from our recipe book, including seafood paella, boeuf bourguignon, tofu stir fry, sweet potato & quinoa sausage rolls, and a few other dishes along the way!

By the end of the day, their fridge was full of generous homemade meals ready to enjoy over the next week (or two 😉), their kitchen was spotless, and they had one less thing to worry about during their busy week.

Once again, thank you Lucas and Chez!

Welcome to your kitchen. — Tico & Lu ❤️
